Power draw is approx 30 to 35watts with laptop, POE switch and 3 cameras. I bought a cheap 3 year old laptop and put win10 on it, running 3 hikvision cameras and cpu usage is at 12% average. I'm using a laptop, the trick is to get a laptop with Intel CPU which has "Quick Sync", this lets the CPU (hardware) do the decoding / encoding and reduces the CPU usage a lot. is there a cheaper model from hikvision that is also a good unit, but just lower res?
